If they give you the credit card machine set to a language you don't understand: "No tip" is the button at the bottom of the screen. It doesn't look like a button.

Be aware that the zucchini flowers have fish and cheese in them.
The hotel provides a bathrobe and slippers. Everyone wears the bathrobe, but most people wear their own flip-flops they brought. If the bathrobe is too big or too small, just get a different one at reception.

For a flat fee of €18, you can charge your electric car in the garage.
The five electric car charging stations are free to use. Just move your car as soon as it's charged so other guests can use them!
You can check in at 12 pm on arrival day and use the spa/bathing area right away (the room isn't ready until 3 pm). Your luggage will be stored in the meantime and brought to the room later. You only need one euro for a locker to stow your street clothes.
On departure day it's the same in reverse: you can use the spa area until the evening (6 pm).
Both are free of charge.
Beides kostenlos.
If none of the three main courses appeal to you, just ask if they have any alternative dishes — it's usually not a problem.
Dinner tables are assigned. If you have a particular seating request, say so at check-in — for example, if you want to sit outside on the terrace in summer or inside where it's air-conditioned. Your table will then usually be the same every day for the entire stay.
In the afternoon, salads, soups and cakes (all extremely good!) are included in the price at the pool bistro.
If you enjoy the sauna, you should definitely try the special "Aufguss" experience sessions at 3 and 5 p.m.
Treat yourself to a slice of homemade Leberkäse in a small roll for breakfast! Amazing. Best Leberkäse in the world. Add a glass of sparkling wine and the morning is perfect.
Vienna Lounge is hands-down the nicest lounge at the airport. Way better than the Sky Lounge Schengen and Austrian Airlines Business Lounge Schengen.
The mini fridge in your room is stocked with brand-name drinks like Coca-Cola, two bottles of wine (one red, one white), and two cans of beer, if I remember correctly. It's restocked daily, and - at least with the All-Inclusive package - everything is included.
The All-Inclusive package includes a bottle of Rum and Gin in your room. We didn't touch ours when we were there and took them with us.
You know how you usually want to avoid the buffet at resorts? This one is amazing!
The All-Inclusive package includes a nice selection of both white and red wines. If you're up for paying a little extra, there's an even wider variety to choose from - with a discount for All-Inclusive guests.
The water activities are free! (At least some of them.) I tried waterskiing for the first time and it was awesome. Give it a try!
Even though it's somewhat of an upscale place, it attracts really chill guests. I've never met such friendly people at any other resort.
There are definitely nicer beaches In Mauritius, but the rest of the hotel makes more than up for it.
There's a big music festival/concert called Isle of MTV (part of Malta Music Week) that takes place every July, which you might want to seek out or avoid.
There's live music everywhere at night. Keep an eye out for The Eggheads in particular. (Google "the eggheads malta")
Don't go in July or August. It's unbearably hot.
Try the Leberkäse (in a roll) for breakfast. Yes, it's a bit heavy for the time of day, but it's absolutely worth it. It's freshly made in-house. Wash down with a glass of sparkling wine!
There’s no parking available near the beach. If your accommodation is close to the beach and you’re arriving by car, you’ll need to park uphill and walk down to reach it.
If you can find a place to stay in Valletta itself (not in Kalkara or Gżira), go for it. Only Valletta has the beautiful architecture you see in the photos.
Some Airbnbs seem super close to the beach, but the twisty roads can make it a 20-minute walk.
Don’t let Google Street View fool you. The nicest part of town is the pedestrian zone, and Street View doesn’t go there.
You need to rent a boat and take it around the island. It's relatively affordable, and you can make it all the way around in a day with a few longer stops along the way.
Do not visit in July or August. Way too hot.
At the end of the beach there is a nice family run Taverna
Do not enter the lobby in a bathrobe/swimwear.
There's a "message in a bottle" hidden somewhere on the hotel grounds. If you find it, you get a prize like a free manicure. Ask at the reception for a tip on where to look.
There are no working public showers on the beach.
good advice
